(Wireless-NewsWire.Com, March 20, 2014 ) SAN DIEGO, CA -- The Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), the leading association for today’s technology services organizations, held its Technology Services Europe (TSE) 2014 conference March 18-19 in Munich, Germany. TSE 2014 revealed current trends, challenges, and opportunities in the European marketplace. Covered were how companies are transforming their service businesses in the key areas of service delivery, service offers, service capabilities, and service organizational structure.
Each year, leading European technology organizations look to TSE to provide professional development for their managers and leaders, while others see it as an opportunity for their senior executives to gain key industry insights on strategy development. TSE 2014 gave European services professionals the opportunity to learn, engage, and share solutions and best practices with their peers. Track sessions offered specific service-discipline areas of focus, featuring case studies and lessons learned.
TSE keynotes are a much-anticipated part of the conference program. TSIA president and CEO J.B. Wood opened the conference with a powerful keynote on the next generation of technology-fueled, data-driven operating models and unveiled a new framework to help companies better align how they operate with how their customers achieve outcomes.
Wood’s presentation was followed by a keynote from Deiter Kempf, chairman of the Managing Board, Datev eG, who shared his insights on the fourth industrial revolution and the conditions that make Industrie 4.0 unique to Germany. Tuesday’s program concluded with a closing keynote from Omid Razavi, vice president of services sales and strategy at SuccessFactors, an SAP Company, who explained how SAP helps over 6,000 cloud customers and 30 million subscribers achieve business outcomes and growth.
Wednesday’s opening keynote featured SQS Group COO and main board member Riccardo Brizzi. Brizzi discussed how SQS adopted the principles outlined in the book B4B to transform his organization, resulting in a doubled share price, substantial business growth, and increased value for its clients. Rounding out the conference, TSIA executive director Thomas Lah covered the key consequences that B4B will have on technology service organizations, including the need to build an outcome-based services portfolio and an outcome-based financial model.
“The content presented at TSE guides technology services professionals as they strive for improved business results in their organizations, and illustrates best practices specific to the European technology services market,” said Wood. “These constituents came to Munich to learn from peers and like-minded professionals who are facing similar services challenges. Attendees came away with actionable ideas and greater insight into the future of technology services in the European corner of the globe.”
