(Wireless-NewsWire.Com, October 21, 2013 ) SAN DIEGO and LAS VEGAS -- Hosted by the Technology Services Industry Association (TSIA), the leading association for today’s technology services organizations, Technology Services World 2013 Service Transformations commenced today in Las Vegas, with the highest attendance on record from leading players in the technology services industry.
The TechBEST Showcase kicked off the conference, featuring a tour of the most cutting-edge technology and services on the TSW EXPO floor. The tour focused on the fall 2013 TechBEST finalists (winners will be announced on Day Three of TSW).
The opening keynote was delivered by TSIA president and CEO J.B. Wood on the topic of “B4B: The Next Generation of Technology-Fueled, Data-Driven Operating Models.” In conjunction with the opening keynote was the official—and much anticipated—book launch of “B4B: How Technology and Big Data Are Reinventing the Customer-Supplier Relationship,” authored by Wood, Todd Hewlin of TCG Advisors, and Thomas Lah of TSIA. The book is based on TSIA’s work with over 300 leading suppliers that are working together on a single challenge: business model transformation. Audience members connected with Wood’s impactful discussion, as he provided clear answers about what to do next in order to enable service organizations to transition their value proposition from being product-focused to customer outcome-focused, enabling them to defend, protect, and grow their revenue.
Three additional keynotes took place today as well, including “Innovating Technology Services: It's No Longer the Status Quo," with Charles Phillips, CEO of Infor Global Solutions; “SAP's Transformation to Outcome-Based Service Offerings,” with Anand Eswaran, executive vice president of SAP Global Services; and “Navigating B4B,” with “B4B” co-author and managing director of TCG Advisors. Attendees came away with powerful insights and strategies for ensuring organizational success in the new era of consumption economics.
Following were nine concurrent “Power Hour” sessions, where TSIA research executives presented results from recent TSIA research in the areas of education services, field services, managed services, professional services, service revenue generation, support services, consumption analytics, and service technology.
At the close of the day, delegates were welcomed back into the TSW EXPO for a networking reception to mingle with peers and talk with some of today’s leading technology solutions providers.
